• Question: What do you think drives astronauts to spend long periods of time away from our planet?

      The need to explore and have adventures, plus knowing they are the best at what they do- at least that’s how I would feel as an astronaut 🙂

      Joao: Astronauts usually stay on the ISS for 6 months. Some of them even 1 entire year. This really is a long a time!

      But for all of them, this has been their dream and they have worked all their life for the opportunity to be there. They love their work and the chance to perform the experiments on which so many people worked on. They surely miss their family and friends but they all agree that it is worth it!
