• Question: what would be the force needed to have your body launched past the speed of light

      Hi felixdacat,

      As you travel faster your mass actually increases – Einstein told us this!

      This means that the closer you got to the speed of light the heavier you would have to be and therefore more force needed to get you moving.

      To reach the speed of light you would have to weigh infinity and that is very large indeed! 😂

      Quite a lot – but it’s theoretically possible: Mass can never be infinity even at the speed of light. However the physics of the energy required are mindblowing and way out of the realm of known science.
