I hope so- I’d like to help improve the care people get when they have a bad back on Earth, and make it easier for people to get treatment so they aren’t in as much pain.

Joao: I think it definetly already affects people. At least I know it affects the Astronauts. We are the ones responsible for everything so that they are safe and they can perform all the experiments.
Which means that we are also contributing to all the science and all the research that is performed on the ISS and is constantly helping people down here on Earth: development of better medicine, finding new materials and technologies. Space technology is in a lot more things than you can imagine: your phone, cars, weather forecasts, and many others.

Our work as a Eurocom connects the scientists on Earth and the Astronauts in space!
