• Question: is the out side of iss dirty

      Sometimes it can get some rocket exhaust on it, but mostly it’s pretty clean 🙂

      I’m looking at it now in the ISS external cameras and it looks pretty clean! Kirsty’s right about propellant – it tends to be attracted to the outside of the space station because it’s the only thing in nearby space and when you do reboosts, vehicle docking/undocking or venting the external payloads will mostly seal themselves to protect from unwanted particles contaminating their instruments.
