• Question: What is the most interesting Thing about Mars?

      the most… argh…. You know I always have more than one thing to say 😉

      So firstly – that there is water!! It was a ‘fact’ that there was no water on Mars for ages and my school textbooks said that. Water gives so many possibilities.

      Then the crazy tornadoes… dust storms on Mars are insane.

      And then for me personally – I LOVE the red dusty landscape. I lived and worked in the central Australian desert for years and it felt like being on Mars. Flat red sandy desert with nothing for hundreds of miles on all sides – we had the best view of the stars and milky way at night. Also The Martian was filmed in Wadi Rum in south Jordan and I have spent quite some time there – totally recommend a visit – you can stay with nomad families in tents on the red sand and climb all the rocks and sandboard down the dunes and it feels like living on Mars. The closest you’ll get on Earth anyway 🙂
