I haven’t left the Earth yet. Lots of astronauts report feeling different when they come back, but how different depends on the astronaut.

Joao: As Kirsty said, many astronauts see Earth differently after they have been to space. And that is mostly because they see how fragile our planet is and how easily we can ruin it. They also see no border from space. No seperation between the countries and it makes them understand even less all the wars we have on Earth between countries or different groups. We are responsible for our planet and the astronauts see it better than anyone else.

I agree with COL OPS 🙂

I travel a lot and have been to about half of the countries in the world, and we are privileged to see the Earth from the external ISS cameras (you can see it too live here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/live-iss-stream) and already from that it’s pretty borderless and amazing. In my travels too, I’ve found people are just people, everywhere.
