      Hi 772tch48,

No but I would love the chance! They are so expensive – not sure if they will have a spare one lying around for me…

I am the one on the left!

I am wearing the “Aouda”, which is a space suit simulator design for Mars. It is helping us understand many of the things we need to know before we can actually use a space suit on Mars. I have to say, it’s a truly unique feeling to wear the Aouda and to perform all sorts of experiments with it. 🙂

I’m like Charlie- I’ve never worn one but i’d jump at the chance too!

EVA (outside) suits are quite heavy, as well as being expensive, so you’re not really allowed to play with them.

I’ve been in a Chinese spacesuit and a Russian spacesuit and an Australian flightsuit. They are not all that comfortable…! And they take forever to don and doff.

Joao is an analogue astronaut for Mars exploration training – he has the most experience of anyone in a closed loop spacesuit!
