I work 37 hours a week- so my normal day is 0830-1630.I also work for about 2 hours per day at the weekend if I need to. If we are busy in the lab I will work longer, but mostly I have a normal working day.

8.5hour shifts on console. The ISS days are split into three shifts in Mission Control: morning shift (O1), afternoon shift (O2), and nightshift (O3) so we do 8hours shift and 30mins handover to our next shift.
We time the handovers so it’s just before the crew wake up, when the crew are eating lunch and just after the crew finish their workday.
O stands for Orbit… even though the station does more than 15 orbits a day.. that’s just the nickname by now!
